NPR stated Hays’s “tone and emotion is rich and unguarded”. That unique characteristic of Hays’s voice and playing has helped them develop into one of Austin’s most impressive artists.

About the artist.

Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Aubrey Hays comes from the tradition of bold, fearless singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Fiona Apple, and Regina Spektor. A master of songs that contain untold depths and unexpected instrumental twists, Hays showcases their technical skills without sacrificing the immediacy of pop music. Hays’s versatility shows them to be equally at home on an electric guitar, piano, ukulele, or vocal looper, and their command of their instruments allow them to be a dominating yet vulnerable presence on any stage.

Are you experienced? Expand your mind & palate in a sensory pairing exploration of music and wine. Join Wine Rack Soundtrack’s Max Puglisi in the Pershing Loft for a tasting//listening party to the sounds of psychedelic wizard Jimi Hendrix. Through a kaleidoscope of Spanish wines, we will explore the legacy, the magic, and the the flavors of sound of this icon. This intimate gathering is a guided wine tasting paired to recorded sounds. As listeners & tasters, we will imbibe a new set of sense memories on a journey exploring 5 wines, over 40 minutes of music, and presentation of the threads between our not-so-disparate implements of perception.

About the show.

Sample the sounds of charismatic indie artist Graham Wilkinson in a wine and music pairing concert. Taste through a curated menu of wines carefully paired to the songs of this rootsy songwriter. With a sound healthily steeped in a tradition of Americana, Wilkinson has successfully blended reggae & hip hop into the barrel. He’s demonstrated this through his body of work, most memorably on his 2011 release ‘The Spiritual Accessories EP’, which sported the MTV no. 1 hit “FOCUS”. This success was founded upon his 2009 release “YEARBOOK”, which featured the likes of Alejandro Escovedo and Hayes Carll.

Graham will share some of his best-loved material as well as from his new album “Cuts So Deep”, in a LIVE wine and music pairing presented by Wine Rack Soundtrack’s Max Puglisi. Join us in this intimate one-on-one concert experience as we get an exclusive look into Graham’s craft through a sensory relationship to four specially curated wine selections.

On Sunday, March 20th from 2-5pm, this event will provide safe space for creatives of multiple disciplines to network, share stories & flavors, and discuss entrepreneurial success strategies.
